Transportation
Ranging in size from small (under 100) to wide-scale surveys (over 13,000), ORC's public transportation research combines a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to ensure the delivery of reliable, actionable data to support our clients' strategic decision-making process. We have surveyed travelers about their awareness of, attitudes toward, and use of virtually every mode of transportation – including bus, rail, ferry, air, bicycle, and pedestrian. ORC understands that every transportation study – from sample and questionnaire design to interviewing, weighting and analysis – is unique to the individual needs of the region involved. We have helped transportation agencies effectively design and implement an array of research projects, including before and after surveys, Commute Trip Reduction (CTR)/Transportation Demand Management (TDM) research, corridor studies, demand management market analysis, freight surveys, on-board surveys, rider/non-rider surveys, travel behavior/household travel surveys, travel and mode choice behavior preferences, voter and attitude studies, geocoding/mapping, and GPS – vehicle and personal travel behavior tracking.
